Some of my PM achievements
Below, I’ve listed some of my project management achievements.
Upgrading the WAN infrastructure in all ATOS sites in Northern Europe within the budget and one month before the deadline. More than 500 wireless access points were replaced and connected to a new central wireless controller.
Successfully completing the review of the entire Statement of Work for one of the UK's biggest clients (Network Rail). I worked with service managers to collect evidence for over 600 contractual responsibilities and present it to the client. As a result, I received a special recognition from the client (you can find it here), which is rather unusual on this account.
The first time I worked for Atos (back in 2012), I was offered a role of a Crisis Manager for the entire location (i.e., Bydgoszcz, Poland—back then it was about 1000 employees). It was a critical role, so I see it as a sign of recognition and trust in my abilities to deal with challenges.
These are but a few examples of my achievements.
Do I deliver every project on time, on budget, and to the customer’s satisfaction? I try, but it’s not always possible. Sometimes we hit unexpected problems, like, for example, in the SNA Gateway project, where we cannot migrate to the new HIS2016 environment as some of our customer legacy applications wouldn’t survive the upgrade.
Despite that, I believe that every project is an opportunity to learn. I also believe that projects are lost or won one day at a time. Small victories matter.
